  • Rendering a flip book

I have a book of 6 pages that is animated opening up and then flipping back closed.
I'm using the double sided mat and all looks good apart from the rendering order of the pages as they occupy the same space they tend to flip between page textures.
Is it a case of off-setting position Y for each page ever so slightly for the first 6 page flips, then re ordering position for the flip back?

We have it set up in cinema4D and each page occupies the same space but it just works without any offset of the pages but thats with the default scanline renderer.

Is there a trick for this?

If it's possible with your rig, the path of least resistance would be just to give the page a little bit of thickness via an extrude. Even a tiny amount that's not really even visible in the render would likely be enough to fix a depth sorting issue, which is what it sounds like you're experiencing.
