to overcome vray materials not showing up in viewport 2.0, im first applying a lambert shader and then adding the V-Ray Material Override attribute. When adding a vray material, i only get the option to add a node, but how can i add a material from the vray material library like for example grass or concrete?

If there's something not showing up in the viewport, it would be best for us to check what can be improved.
Can you point us to specific assets from the library that don't show in the viewport, sean_brown ?
You should stick to the default Core Compatibility (if I'm not mistaken) OpenGL mode, and we should fix whatever shaders don't show up in the viewport.
