Render Elements: Capture shadows from specific lights?

Hi,

I have a challenging request from a client, and need to isolate shadows on specific lights.

Is there a way, using Render Elements, to save out the shadows from just one light, or a group of lights?

The "Shadow" and "Raw Shadow" Render Elements are not creating sets in the Outliner, so I can't associate those Render Elements with specific lights or objects.

The only thing I can think to do is render my shot multiple times with different lights turned on or off, but that is a very problematic option due to render times.

Please help.

I don't think there's a way to do that directly, I'm afraid. I guess you would have to render multiple times.

Can you tell me a bit more about why you need to do this? The reason is obvious, but I'd like to get details on what people do with this.
