  • Rect light texture and volumetric fog?

Is it possible push light into a fog volume using a light with a texture on it, such as a backlit sign with stenciled lettering? I don't seem to be able to get this to work.

I'm pretty sure I've done this before using a texture. When you are trying it, is it rendering as if no texture was applied to the light?

I realize now this won't work the way I have it set up -- the texture I was applying is a UDIM tile and I don't think that is going to work with the light's UV space. I'll have to come up with a different solution.

oh, yeah I don't think lights have any sort of editable UVs.

They don't have UVs as such, but the attrs. on the 2D placement node work.
