  • Maya default camera physical camera values

    When rendering with the Maya default camera, what settings are the PhysicalCamera values rendered with?
    These parameters are necessary when comparing the output results of various renderers using the Maya default camera.​

    I do not understand the question. Could you clarify? Otherwise, you can export a .vrscene and look at the Maya camera parameters there.

      OK, change the way we ask the question.

      How can I match the exposure when rendering with the Maya default camera [no VRayPhysical Camera Extra Attribute] and when rendering with the VRayPhysical camera?​

      If there is no VRayPhysicalCamera attribute, only CameraDefault will be output to vrscene.

        The Maya default camera (similar to 3ds Maxs' Standard Cameras) is not a physical camera, so it does not make any exposure or WB adjustments. Render engines usually provide their own way of making it physical, usually via attributes. The best way to match those two cameras is via the render settings' Auto Exposure and Auto White Balance.
