Light Cache vs. Brute Force

I've always used Light Cache for my GI in my animations but I'm curious what are the pros and cons of Brute Force?

Only thing I have noticed from testing is that Brute Force is a little faster than Light Cache.

Brute force should be slower.
Could you give more insides how your scene looks like?
