and obviously the file is named config.ocio
what I have is Maya 2022 update 1 default config.

it would be nice to have a look at a newer one, preferably most recent.

"The configuration files that are installed with Maya are named config.ocio and are available in subdirectories of resources/OCIO-config/ in the installation location."

                thank you.
extremely helpful, especially considering I somehow lost that unity lut.
                much appreciated.

and thanks again - I ended up using more of Maya config as a base and adding some bits from Max.

Anyone know why the default still IS Maya 2022? This is another example of how color management is confusing for people not steeped in it.... Why are newer versions still using a file with a three year old date on it? SFAIK there have been updates to ACES since then.

new features in ACES require updates to OCIO support in Max and Maya - but this is quite poor everywhere. Natron from two years ago is still my go to for testing configs. new Resolve/Fusion seems good too. newest non commercial Nuke - I get an error every time I try to load OCIOLook.
