  • ExtraTex dirt

OK so this is new to me.
Just rendering a arch ziv image with physical camera with a render element ExtraTex for a dirt pass.
The dirt layer in VFB is simply all white no matter what I change in the settings for it, nothing seems to get a result.
    What am I over looking?

    Cheers all.

Hard to say without a scene. Strip yours and attach it, please.

It was that old classic - No GPU support for dirt pass.

Yes, VRayDirt has Partial support on GPU. Still, if you want more details and possibly a workaround, do send the scene.

OK here is a stripped out scene file, also is there a way to layer the dirt effect in the VFB?

Thanks. Just as I suspected, it's ye old Affected By's "As Inclusive set" issue (which, when no set is selected affects the rendering). Disable the checkbox, and you'll get the expected results.

If you switch to Composite Source in the VFB, you can add a Render Element (ExtraTex in your case) as a layer.
