Can I control the SSS Fog Depth in VRayMtl with tex?
If so, which value of tex (file node) affects the Depth value?

Yes, you can. However, since the Fog Depth works with float values, you need to convert the texture's color data to float (via Alpha from RGB Intensity). Check the attached sample scene.

      Thank you for your advice.
What I would like to explore is how to control the Depth texture of SSS (Translucency Mode: SSS).
      Looks like it doesn't work.

You're right. I tried with a simple Expression that controls the Depth value and it seems to pass it correctly in the UI, however, it doesn't render it. I'll log the issue.

EDIT: Seems to concern CPU only (works fine in GPU). Logged as internal tracker id: VMAYA-13415.

Thanks for adding this to the bug tracker.
It does indeed work on GPUs. (Although the opposite pattern is common).
