  • Ambient Color?

I'm a bit new to vray materials, but is there a way to add an ambient or self-illumination color to a material without blending another material (which is what I've been doing)?

Not right now; I'm not sure if the Maya ambient light is working in the release version (although we do have a build where it works now).

    Best regards,

        you bastard

the ambient light was not working for me, so I look forward to a new build. For the time being, I'm blending with a suface shader or vray light shader. Ok, but kinda strange. I miss the mia shader's "additional color" slot, which I used all the time for one effect or another.

        Thanks for the info.
