  • Render Alpha Channel of Reflected Objects

    Hey ho,

it's me again How would i get a correct alpha for my reflected objects?

Can u implement this via a renderlement - or better - include it in the (raw)reflection render element as the 4th channel? Shouldn't be too much of a coding hassle - correct me if i am wrong...

    cheers

You can do that with the standard "Use Background" shader.

It cannot be included in the raw reflection element, as V-Ray only supports RGB elements currently, and not RGBA.

thx vlado...i didn't even try the use-bg node my fault...

regarding the renderelements it would be cool if we can see a specific renderelement for exactly that problem. So everywhere we see a reflection i would like to have a pass of the reflected objects alpha channel...so maybe call it refl_matte

      thx in advance
