Playing with the node in the new build (Apr. I have converted a mesh to a light, and noticed the sampling is much coarser... I can't seem to reasonably sample it out. If I use regular area lights, sampling is ok, but a mesh light is definitely problematic with envFog. Any tips on getting meshlights to render while inside envfog?

Yes, use GI - it will help to reduce the noise.

Thanks... I did find that later in the evening. GI vastly improves the noise, but not yet to acceptable levels. Perhaps I should not be using a nederhorst-style DMC in a fog scene? at a threshold of .002 and Max36 subdivs, there is still too much noise for an animation.

BTW, there seems to be a template problem for the envFog node. The attributes all show up in a very tiny section, and looks like there are some developer attributes visible

What version of Maya do you use. Can you post a screenshot?
