  • About Refractions Bounces

Here a four renders of a table with a plastic lamina that IS REFLECTING and a crystal that haves NO reflection. The images go from two refraction bounces to five.

We can see very different resoults between bounces.

We can say that with 3 and 5 bounces the refraction is incorrect?.

Why in the 5 bounces one, we can see the refracted reflection of the plastic lamina stretched for one sides and for others not?. It shouldn't repeat the effect covering all the surface? (the table surface is perfectly planar, you can check the vertex normals).

Here the scene, one more time, reduced by the size limit:

I can't reproduce this here with the scene you posted. Which material are you changing the refraction depth for?

The crystal one. Im sorry about the "things" reduction, but I couldn't post the zip with its original size!. And the texture is no longer more there. Try to assign some noise to the floor and walls for see the stretched reflection.
