  • VFB multiply BG image?

Would it be possible to implement some kind of feature so If you have your 3d objects on a black background, when you render them in your VRAY frame Buffer you could load a backplate image & multiply the render over the BG. just be handy for quick visualisation & would mean not having to save out as many low rez tests to comp in photoshop or similar?

    Thanks

    Chris

There are many things that we can add if we go down that route; my fear is that we may end up recoding PhotoShop in the end

By the way, you can link the V-Ray VFB to PDPlayer in the latest builds, and it allows you to do such compositions very quickly.

Although... Houdini's mplay viewer has this capability and I end up using it all the time. Just the ability to load a background image and see your render as an A over B composite, nothing more.

I've yet to try out the pdplayer - vray connection though.
