  • LC for glossy rays - when cached

    Hi,

When I pre-calculate my GI solutions for animation (IM,LC), does the LC still help in rendering glossy reflections?

In theory it makes perfect sense to me that it would, LC being pre-calculated in all cases even if not cached, however it seems to to me that my renders are taking longer than they should compared to a single frame.

I am of course taking into consideration the increased time for interpolation and look-up of several caches.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I think I may have figured it out... Light cache must be on during the actual render. But then it recalculates

You can save the light cache to disk in that case.

Bake it for the scene first, and then.. Append bake it while you run the render
