Yes, i'm also hoping for a manual update soon . I think it's for rendering lightpasses.

You use the relationship editor to connect one or several V-Ray lights to the render element.

The manual is updated, just needs to be uploaded on spot3d.

      Best regards,

Exist some link for download the new manual? (I prefer save it like non-online version). Exist some version in Pdf or something like that? Its a little bit disturbing save web page by web page in spot3d.com with our navigator.

When gonna be uploaded the new documentation?

Please, Chaosgroup, publish the link for the documentation, or Vlado, if it is possible, leave them on the server, with the Nightly Builds.

        Really we need it!.

        Great work!.

Ok, knowing i was in need for this badly.

"light select" if you make a neat little script or do it manually,
can spit out Diffuse/ Spec/ Raw

On a per ligth basis, every light you connect to it, will do a "split" of these passes..

Its one up on every renderer out there, and i've been using it.

i can see it's light pass related feature by its name. that's why i'm very excited to see this. i just don't know how to make connections necessary. using relationship editor in sets mode, right? then what should i do for the attributes of "vrayRE_Light_Select" node? olivervfx, if you could explain the manual way, it'll be very appreciated. by the way, is this feature only available for maya version and not for max?

Just use the relationship editor to determine the contribution of which lights should go into a particular element. Then from the attributes of the element you can determine if you want just the diffuse output, the specular one, or both.

You can also just click and drag the "light" you want to be in the light select pass and drop it on the light select pass..

                Easy!
