create menu documentation

There are a number of menu items in the create->vray menu that I cannot find documentation for in the handbook. Could someone help?

In particular I'm interested in the volume fog lights, but of course I would like info about all the features. I did find these documented in the Max handbook. Not sure how cross compatible that documentation is.

So far we don't have any official documentation about the features in the Create>V-Ray menu, but we are working on that. For now please e-mail us at: vraymaya@chaosgroup.com if you have any specific questions on those.

Wouldn't it be more effective to answer such questions not by mail, but here in the forums? I bet most of the topics are relevant to most of the users who are waiting for a documentation. Just a thought.

I agree with pechart, better here than not at all.

I'd love to know as much as possible on volume light. I'm still having trouble getting acceptably noise-free results.

Please feel free to post your questions in the forum and we'll be happy to answer them.
Basically if you want to make a simple Volume light effect: Create an scene with Light and plane. Enable Use Environment volume option and set VRayEnvironmentFog shader in the slot. Increase the light Intensity and VRayEnvironmentFog distance. That should do it.
