I've been reading about point based rendering implemented by (among others) ILM and Pixar in their films. For those not familiar with it this, here is a technical paper, and a more general article on it. Basically it is an alternative way of doing GI (both occlusion and color bleed) that avoids raytracing and has the advantage of being
1) very fast
2) noise free
As a result it has been used on a lot of feature films.
I was wondering if this is a technique that vray had considered including in its large tool belt alongside its many raytrace solutions for GI?
