  • Get the Vray build version without open Maya ?

    Hi,
I have a question for a pipeline : where can i get the Vray version build on a computer without open Maya ?

    Like : [2010/Oct/4|15:20:17] V-Ray: V-Ray for Maya version 1.50.SP1 from Sep 24 2010 etc etc...

    Thank.

It does not seem possible right now; you might be able to get the date from the standalone version though.

      Best regards,

Starting the render slave, should give you the information.

          ./ply2vrmesh.exe | grep 'Build'
          Build from Sep 24 2010

            EDIT: missunderstood! "without opening maya"
            ignore the rest...

if you want to manage different vray versions you should start maya via a batch and set an ENV VARIABLE whichs points to your current VRAY_VERSION and VRAY_REPOSITORY Path

This way you can easily pull this variable later in your scripts via `getenv VRAY_VERSION`

            cheers
