  • how to use in-render AO?

I see the AO toggle in the indirect illumination controls but I can't enable it.

Is this fixed in latest builds?

odd... it works for me. Well, I don't use it because render times sky rocket, but I can enable it. What build are you using?

I do my ambient occlusion pass in post. I create a material override, using a vraylight material with a vraydirt material inside it. You can turn off GI and you'll need to disable your vraycamera exposure. In PhotoShop you use your AO pass on a new later and set it to multiple.

      I hope this helps

I'm not referring to the V-Ray Dirt mat RE workflow. I was under the impression that enabling the AO in the settings would do it in the rendering itself, saving compositing. No?

Yes, but slow. It should work so someone smarter them me might have to contribute.
