  • Eye versus Scientific Data

I'd like to ask you a question, here in the forum.

Usually, how do you work, evaluating your resoult simply with the sight, or with physical cameras, Evs, huge ior lists, and physical rules that its "suppossed" that all it should give a totally realistic resoults?

Someone works with a Spectrofotometer and a white point?

You have to use your eye. The physical world can be boring, but it's a great starting point.

Yup... we generally start with known-real-world values for as much as we can... materials, scale, lights, cameras.

Once that is working, we get creative. The art-director part of your mind has to take control, and allow you to modify beyond the real to get to the image you are aiming for. We start linking/unlinking lights, changing properties, making certain shaders behave irresponsibly

The tough part is the creative vision beforehand to know what you're aiming to do.

Thanks at both, Metzger and Aweidenhammer. I'll try to do things less phyisical and more intuitively, suppossed exact physical resoults never worked well with me.
