  • Motion blur in post?

Is it possible to get motion blur in post from a vray render element. Is there a motion vector pass? I want to be able to blur wheels in nuke.

    see attached

    Thanks!

There is a velocity render element...

      Short Answer: Nope.

Post Motionblur is always Linear and hence rotational Motioblur (as well as very curve motionblur such as bouncing) does not work very well.

There is the vector(velocity) element. It works fine in Nuke... but Instinct is right, it will only do linear blurs, so special cases like wheels are not going to be very good in post.

I have had great success rendering motion blur in vray without much of a render hit tho. Lately, I've been rendering nearly everything with Mblur on. But I understand the desire to tweak it in post. Sadly, wheels will be best with in-camera blur.
