  • GUI of the img2tiledexr.exe in Windows 7?

    Hi,

    According to the doc.:
The simplest way is to double-click the img2tiledexr.exe file. This will bring up the GUI main window of the program letting you to select all the options,
In Windows 7, I've tried to launch the img2tiledexr tool from the start menu, and it brings up the command line window (not the GUI window with options). If I launch it from C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\V-Ray\Maya 2012 for x64\bin\, the command line window pops up and then gone, still no GUI window?

Did I miss something to be able to use the GUI version of img2tiledexr tool in Windows 7?

    environment: Windows 7 x64 + Maya 2012 + VRay 2.004
    always curious...

      Hi, Zdravko,
I've sent emails twice to request the GUI version of the tool. The first one was sent almost two weeks ago and a second one couple days ago. But I didn't hear anything back from the team.

I am wondering if there is anything prevent me from receiving the GUI version of the tool. I am working on a scene with hundreds of 2K TIFF textures that I would like to convert them to tiled EXRs for rendering more efficiently. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Zdravko is on vacation, so not sure what happened to that. In any case you can download the GUI version of img2tiledexr here:
        http://www.spot3d.com/vray/misc/img2tiledexr.rar

Let me know if there are any issues with that.

        Best regards,

I only act like I know everything, Rogers.
