  • LC and camera path

Is there a problem with the use camera path option and fly through mode in vray 2.0 or why does it not have that streaked look when the light cache is built.

If I remember correctly in 1.5 it looked like heavy motion blur while rendering the light cache with that options.

Do you have the "Show calc. phase" enabled in the Light cache options?

Yep. I see how the light cache builds up, but it just looks like an ordinary still image and not that smeared look like it was in the past.

This will depend on the camera movement.
If the camera travels more in the scene you will get noisier LC preview.

          Hi,
I think that you have "Animation" unchecked in the Common tab of the render settings. If you turn it on the IM/LC "use camera path" option should work as expected (if your render cam is moving).

Ah ok. Will try it soon.
I alway enable animation, but also set the option to only render animation during batch rendering. That might cause the problem.
Maybe it would be good to have an option to have the cache creation process override this.
