vray for snow leopard/osx

I am trying to download vray for maya osx snow leopard but the links that download contain windows .exe installer files and not the mac installer. Am I doing it wrong?

Hi,
Have you tried to run it? But first you need to read the install instructions.
We have the .exe extension for historical reasons, but all unixes doesn't care much about the file extension.

just open your Terminal.app, type "cd " then drop the folder the .exe is on the Terminal window, press enter then type "sudo ./vrayinstallerfile.exe" (change vrayinstallerfile.exe to whatever the installer file is called, of course).

Btw, you need to have your root user activated for this to work.

Thanks for the tips! I got about 50% there this morning. My terminal is saying it doesn't recognize the sudo command. Ill have to play with it some more tonight, I think my profile might be messed up. I tried it under root as well.

hmmm... that's weird that it doesn't recognize the sudo command. Regardless, if you switch to root, then it should at least run the file.

In case you don't know it already, do it like this:
"su root" <enter>
"./vrayinstaller.exe" <enter>

If your root user is enabled, this should work.
