  • VRay and maya blackhole type material ?

    Hi

    Wanted to ask if blackhole type material set in labert is supported with Vray rendering?
    Or any similar material from Vray type is available?

      Surface shader act different than blackhole but it is often used with blackhole material objects in the same layer / scene.
      This is what I need to use here in my scene . Let's see if that will work and render ok.

        If you need to cut a hole to the alpha, you can attach a vray object properties node and set the alpha on this to -1. Or are you trying to do something different?

            In Maya there are two basic ways to make a "black hole" shader: One is to set the matte opacity mode of a Lambert to "black hole," and the other is to set the Out Matte Opacity color of a surface shader to black. The first method (the Lambert) works fine in V-Ray.
