I got the V-Ray Lens Effects in Maya today.
It was a little bit hard to find the UI, but it is in VFB.
Open Color Corrections Window of VFB and click the Open Lens Effects Setting.
And then just need to click the new icon for "Use Lens Effects" in VFB before Rendering.
It is working interactively in Real Time.
edit: mmhh some very strange results, when changing the weight for bloom and also for glare the light and overall colors turn from neutral to greenish or redish. atm trying maya 2011 osx with the build 18402, since it's the latest for osx. will try the latest win7 version in the evening and see if it's a osx thing.
But does the fstop effect the shape of the glows like in real life? Ie if you point at the sun with a real camera with an f-stop of like 22, the sun becomes a star, open it up and it's a blur. Does this happen with VRayLensEffects?
Absolutely love the new Lens Effects, they're fantastic!
A note to our favorite Bulgarians:
The controls are very well hidden within the Color Corrections window. Would it be more user friendly to add the settings as its own icon on the bottom of the VFB?
Really great work on this feature, it has been much anticipated and it just looks beautiful!
