Is the wanted behaviour you're looking for, that light depends of Maya size settings?
For example, an ies file of 35 Watts illuminates perfectly an interior room of 300x300x300 cm with an intensity of 1.
In this case, Maya size is set in Centimeters, as default.
But, the same ies need an intensity of 5600 for illuminate with the same amount, an interior room of 3x3x3 meters.
In this case, Maya size is set in Meters, customized by the user.
Vray shouldn't have this preferences settings into account, for get the user haves the correct illumination with an intensity of 1, although he/she is using another size won't be centimeters?.
