  • Any articles of Digital Domain & VR ?

    Hey guys,

Just wondered if there were some articles on DD using Vray for any of their projects (Reel Steel for ex). I know the stuff on fxguide but wondered if there was some more somewhere ?

    Cheers

Excellent, really looking forwards to some insights. I know that feature work tends to have quite a far removed custom pipeline & tools compared to out of the box stuff but with vray I wonder if it was different for them ?
I'm hoping that once work kicks off for me that I'll be able to show the company how vray is to use, and perhaps it'll be another company on the list for feature film work

Excellent, I'll check it out this evening, many thanks !

Actually you've just reminded me of something I wanted to ask. With high profile clients like this, have you guys been taking their feedback and implementing any new features or changes ? If so, any examples that you can give ?
Essentially I'm just being nosey, and would like to know what features they thought were vital to have.

          Many thanks !

Thanks for posting that Vlado. That was a very nicely done video. Something I wish they had more of on behind the scenes of DVD's.

Indeed. I was curious to know more in this regard. On fxguide's coverage, it mentions that they don't take gray and chrome ball image on-set anymore. I am curious to know how did they calibrate HDR lighting in post?
                always curious...
