  • Render as subdivision surface - visual feedback?

    Hi,

    is it possible to get a visual feedback for the subdivision surface tesselation.
    Im playing arround with edge lenght, max. subdivs, etc. and wished to see what happens per wire or so.

    I think it's not possible yet, but it's in our 'todo' list to implement support for this in VRayEdges texture.

        Hi,

        I have added an option in the VRayEdges texture to show the edges of the subtriangles. If you have access to the nightly builds you can download the latest nightly. Note that you'll have to adjust the subdivision depth and the pixel width. Otherwise most probably the entire object will be rendered in the edge color because the generated subtriangles are very small.
