Hi
I'm trying to create a soft box area light in maya. I'm using a square hdr softbox image, in the rect light's texture slot. It looks great, but i can't seem to adjust the texture so that it isn't blown out/clipped to pure white when the light has a high intensity, or correct but with far too low light intensity. Is there a way to adjust the texture independently of the light intensity/ gi contribution? I've tried gamma correction, etc. At the moment my only workaround is to render out a seperate pass of the texture itself and adjust in the comp.
thanks
