  • Would Animation(Prepass) mode work in a scene with a moving light?

    Hello,

I am animating a scene with a moving light (police car light) and I will be using Irradiance (primary) / Light Cache (secondary) to render it. I would like to know whether this moving light would cause any issues when using the stored vrmap(s). As I understand it, VRay averages the Irradiance some frames ahead and behind, hence my concern.

Thank you for your assistance and best regards,

    Eduardo

    Hi,

I would say, yes, you need the prepass procedure.
But I´m not shure with the light cache because of no prepath function.
When you use brute froce as secondary bounce it must work perfect.

A setting from Interp. frames of 2 means, that the actual, 2 before and 2 after = 5 frames are mixing.
    Higher settings needs more rendertime.
    (If I understand it correct..)

    Cheers,
    Jörg
