This is awesome. I'm wondering is still what the latest press release from Chaosgroup mentioned?
"This year we’ll surprise V-Ray fans with the launch of V-Ray for Nuke and V-Ray for Katana, integrating rendering capabilities seamlessly across the VFX pipeline. We will also show the latest improvements in GPU rendering, and much more! "
Or will we see something different as in a separate package / renderer for Nuke ?
@reny thank you for sharing the script, a video demo would be great, even if there is no voice over. Just to see the install process and rendering process?
@johnchen
VRay For Nuke would be totally different from the simple output plugin I did.
Install process is clearly outlined in first post, just follow it.
I hope in the future that I can just provide a mel/python script and Vray4Maya can pick up external render buffer.
I did use sometimes in production, but I think we had a good split on lighting/comp, so most lighter is just using VFB most of the time.
Linux release would be pending I think, we are wrapping up current project, so I might have time after it's done.
I already has the Nuke dev license, so should have no problem compiling it, hope it be simpler than setting up compiling on windows. XD
I download Nuke 7.0 Beta with my dev license and give it a simple run, turns out pretty easy to compile and works like a charm.
I've updated the first post with new link to a new 7z file I uploaded.
