This may be more of a maya question then a vray question. Can maya read 32bit tif images? I have a very large (750+MB) 8k 32bit tif file to use as a displacement. When I apply it as a displacement however in Maya's script editor it says:
// Error: Image conversion (to IFF) failed //
// Warning: Failed to open texture file
and in the output window it says:
TIFF image class not supported (must be 8 or 16 bits)
However when I render the image out it seems to render out fine. Is this warning a false alarm? Can maya and vray work with 32bit tif images?
Please advise.
Thanks!
