  • object properties

Hi everyone. I'm currently using Vray for Maya 2.30.01 on Maya 2013 SP2.

I'm using a lot of Object Properties >> Apply single object properties node to selection.

I have a large scene with hundreds of objects. I select large groups of objects (geometry) and apply single object properties node, in order to create object ID groups to render using multi mate render elements.

    All is working well.

I now find myself having to organize my groups differently. How do I remove and add objects from existing single object property nodes? I don't want to remove all the objects, just specific ones. Also I want to be able to add new objects to already created single object property nodes.

    Thanks!

object properties node is a set, you can drag and drop objects in outliner onto that node and it will auto add them. To remove though, you must select your objects and show output connections, it will show you the connection between the object and that particular set, you simply can select those connections and hit "del" to break them. Alternatively I think you can use membership sets, but I never did it through that.
