  • Render VRSCENE from 3dsmax in Vray Standalone (Maya)

Hi all. My render farm is set up with Vray Standalone (Maya) and I was wondering if it was possible to render a .vrscene file exported from 3dsmax?

You could give it a try... The best way is to export the .vrscene through the V-Ray RT engine (you don't need to render it, just export it) or using the respective MaxScript command as described here:

    Best regards,
    Vlado

Thanks Vlado. I didn't even realize that I had to use a side door to get Max to export to .vrscene.

      I'll give it a try.

I keep trying to export through Vray RT but the render dialog say waiting for renderer...How exactly should i set up the Vray RT? in active shade or through production?

Which OS is that? It probably has trouble starting the RT render server - in which case you can just run it manually.
