    Like the title said, how do you use "Custom_Color" render element ?
    Whats is "alias" ?

    It is used when you write your own V-Ray shaders that can produce their own custom render elements.

      Thats quite cool... Would it be possible (if its not yet... in maya) to add to that custom_color other passes ie. reflection ?

      So if I have my custom shader with its reflection output. I would like to have a reflection pass which include my shader+all other reflections from other scene shaders. Is it doable? The same thing goes for material select... Atm we have to have 1 pass for reflections and 1 for matt select reflections... wed like to merge that in to one.

        There is an option in the nightlies to propagate render elements through reflections. So you can tell other materials to propagate your material select element through their reflections. So that problem is already solved
