Missing buckets on batch rendering volumetrics

I'm trying to do some god rays and it renders fine to the VFB but when I submit a job to the farm the frames that come back are missing, or partialy missing, buckets. Every frame has the glitch but they're jumping all over the places.

I'm trying to upload a pictures but it keeps failing, I can email on if needed.

I'm not entirely sure which version of vray we are using but the path has /2.20.01.production.20120203/ in it and maya reports

Plug-in version: 2.20.01
For API version 201200

I'll email our tech guys to figure out which specific version we're on.
