  • Can I scale V-ray lights on 2.00.01

I recall seeing in a Digital Tutors video that scaling V-ray rect lights would mess the brightness up, and to change the size from within the light attributes instead. I believe this is fixed in later versions of V-ray for Maya, but is it fixed as of version 2.00.01? That's the version I'm running (I believe it's the latest one for Maya 2012?),

    Cheers.

I'll have to check, as it was a while ago...

    Best regards,

BTW: 2.20.01 is the latest version for Maya <2013 and 2.30.01 for >=2013.

Yes, i hope there will be an update soon. Official builds are very old (more than 1 year).

          Just do a quick test:

Render your image. Measure the brightness somewhere.

          Scale the lights.

Re-render your image. Measure the brightness there again.

The rectangular light intensity is being increased when is scaled up.
Are you able to get difference in the render brightens when use exactly the same light size but different scale?
