Bump Shadows

Heya
Bump Shadows - when this option is checked V-Ray will consider the bump maps when rendering shadows produced by objects with the bump material applied to them.

I dont understand it... Does it mean that a bump checkerbox will cast checkerbox alike shadow on other object if the light is on level with my plane? Like displacement or something?

Hi,

Bump shadows is useful in some situations where the shadows should be affected by the reflections or transparency.
Unfortunately we don't have full documentation about it yet.
I made simple example to illustrate the effect:
