  • Vray dirt Subdivs not responding?

    Hey guys doing a render using a render layer and have a material overide on it with a vraylightmtl and a vraydirt connected to it. But my subdivs dont have an effects when i go higher. 8 is the same quality as 64, you guys ever have this issue?

    the subdivs in the dirt also depend on your dmc sampler. If your sampler is not set higher, it wont produce much of a difference.

      What Dmitry said; normally V-Ray divides shader samples by that of the AA sampler. If you need to push the shader to higher quality you need to give it more subdivs than the AA sampler.

        I thought that as well but my subdivision were max 25 and threshold at .005

          What is your "Adaptive amount" set to?

                What DADAL said; set it to a lower value like 0.9 or something. Otherwise V-Ray will just take a few samples and stop.
