Heyho,
when I pipe a distance texture node to the blend amount of a VrayBlendMtl everythings works the way expected.
Now hitting `3` for smooth mesh preview and enabling the render viewport subdivs in the vray render tab the blending disappears (no near value anymore).
When I convert the smooth mesh preview to polys it works and the blend stays where it belongs.
Am I missing something?
