    Heyho,

    when I pipe a distance texture node to the blend amount of a VrayBlendMtl everythings works the way expected.
    Now hitting `3` for smooth mesh preview and enabling the render viewport subdivs in the vray render tab the blending disappears (no near value anymore).
    When I convert the smooth mesh preview to polys it works and the blend stays where it belongs.

    Am I missing something?

    I further just realized that if I plug a vector displacement map (vray water text) into the mesh which is the object to define the distance effect the near color disappears too.

        For the moment it is a technical limitation that the distance texture only works with polygonal meshes. We will look into the possibility of supporting other run-time generated geometry types, but I don't know when it will be done.
