Using Vray Particle Tex node

Hi,
this node looks very useful, but I just don't know here to start!
Can anyone point me out?

I t looks like i have to link my n particle to the particle systems set,
and then how to control their look?

It's only for PhoenixFD.

I was hoping o get some extra control on the native maya particles!

Nope, it's not just for Phoenix FD. Open the scene.
