  • Maya fluids with phonenix fd volume shader flicker

    Hi

Im trying to render some maya fluids with phoenix fd volume shader. If I enable 'use lightcache' in the additional settings it looks nice and smooth, but when I render out the sequence, it flickers like hell (like gi splotch flicker). Is there any way to minimize the splotch flicker? How do I control the lightcache quality, is that in the gi settings?

Sadly, there is no way to tweak the light cache quality. It's calculated per grid cell. If you don't have enough resolution to look ok, the only way is to turn light cache off.
