  • vfb option to choose what camera to render

    hello,

is there a way to define the renderable camera within vfb? like maya frame buffer (dropdown-menu) does?

    For the moment, no.

would be great - especially cause the maya render view now (within vray 3.0 beta) disappears when vfb kicks in
i always have to oben render view at the bottom of the screen in order to be able to grab "render selected object only" and the change-cam-option ...

One of our Max developers has added the possibility to add a custom context menu to the VFB in recent builds,
so we might use this to implement this often requested feature.
We'll evaluate this possibility and we'll report if this is the direction we will take about this feature.

Will it be like maya shelf area where I can drag custom scripts and buttons? I could totally abuse it like child with chocolate...

"render selected only" would also be nice ^^

and when talking about frame buffer. what about a gui to render animation (i know you want us to use pdplayer? perhaps that's the way to go?!)

To render animation, or to play animation? Does the Maya render view have something like this already?

              Best regards,
              Vlado

Nope, it will be just a right click menu with some menu items, which does often requested features.

VFB with the usage of Framanip would be fab! PDPlayer is great but we could never get it to load up automatically after a playblast.

This feature has been implemented in the latest Nightly Builds.
It will be also available in the next official beta release.

Have you tried to right click on the teapot in the VFB?
