  • Issue with VRay Blend Material

    Hi,
I would like to apply a transparent png (with some drawing on it) over a base color over a polygon.
I do use the Vray blend material, set the base color (VRay Mtl) as the base material and my png file as the Coat color 0.
However the coat material does not appear at all.
Should I directly put the file shader in the coat material or should I link the file shader to a VRay Mtl and link the Vray mtl to the coating ?
I tried both but always only get the base color without the picture.
    Any hint ? Thanks

Can you show the shading network?

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

If your base material is fully opaque, transparensy from coat material won't work

It is fully opaque actually. So how to coat a transparent material over an opaque one ?

hey you can also use the png to blend between two materials...so... plug a second material as decal color in the coat-slot - and a bw-image as blend amount...
