Hi everybody ,
Lately I have come across the amazing Grant Warwick mastering Vray. Even though he is using 3DsMax you can easily translate it to maya. But I came across a problem. In a section Grant is using a fall off map applied at the reflection slot to create a custom fresnel effect. From what I have understood the fall off map in max is the equivalent of a ramp with a sampler info facing ratio connected to the VCoordinates of the ramp. There is not much to understand so far cause when the ramp is going from black to white. But Grant actually to give color to the reflection split the fall off map into "RGB" and he He can control the each of those individually. How can you archive this in maya? I think the answer should be pretty simple but human tends to make thing difficult and can get it to work . Any help would be much appreciated.
