  • Brute Force caustic pass

    Heya

    Is it doable to get a brute force caustic pass or do I have to have GI with it ? I suppose a render of GI + Caustics and GI subtracted from each other should produce a caustic pass but maybe there is a better way ?

    There is no need to activate GI in order to calculate direct-caustics, just enable Caustics option from Caustics-rollout and that's it.
    Please note that there is a option to calculate GI-caustics from GI-rollout, these caustics however requires GI-calculation.

      Yeah I mean the GI BF Caustics that are more accurate than Photon Caustics we get from roll-out below GI panel

        In that case you should enable GI calculation.

          Yeah I know. Its what I did. I just want to get caustic GI pass without the GI light bounce component
