Setting up a DR rendering

Hello I am new to setting up a DR rendering and was wondering if I could get some input. I am using vray 3.0 which seems to make it quite easy.
1.I have enabled DR rendering
2.Added the IP address of the slave machine
3. Both have maya 2015 and vray 3.0 for maya installed
4. Port number ( I am a little stuck here were can I find the port number for the slave machine)
5. I have started the other machine as a vray render slave
6. Do I need to have a manager like back burner or something else.

7. When I render I get the buckets with the one computers name but not the others so I am sure I am missing something, any help from the community would be great and I apologize in advance for the newbie question first time setting up a network.

I did put in the IP address of the slave machine. Not sure if this will have an effect on anything but I am using two Mac Pro using boot camp the catch is the new Mac Pro 2013 was having some issues with the dongle and windows 8.1 so I put the dongle back in the other machine ( the machine I want to use as a slave) and set the license server on the new machine to look at the other machine. I hope this does not effect the DR rendering set up since the new machine is using the IP address of the old machine and that same IP address would technically be the slave.

Anyway any thoughts or suggestions are welcome

In that case when you press render in output window you should see error information saying why DR didnt connect.

Also make sure your firewall is off for the testing time.

I see the thing is when I enter all the information and start the slave on the other machine and go to render everything actually renders fine the image renders but I only see buckets labeled with the name of new computer and not the slave but I don't get an error. Would it be that because of the way the license is configured the buckets would all read the same name.

Firewall is open as they are set up for a home group and Remote Desktop between the two. Again it renders fine I am not getting any errors just don't see the buckets labeled with the slave machines name. I also want to make sure I am entering the correct port number is there a place I can find this. I entered the port number under the vray license settings.

Thats good u got it sorted.

Yes it was very simple as I said I am not IT specialist but it was simply the port number I got a error from vray and it said I needed to be on port number 20207 so switched to that and perfect don't works like a charm.
I am super happy not a huge network but 20 cores working on a image is a lot better.
