  • VraySSS2&Ptex&VDM problems

***NOPE: My fault, all OK, delete the post to avoid confusion to others.***

I'm displacing a mesh with ptex (vector displacement object).

Final render is perfect with VrayMtl (default material), or VrayCarpaint, or VrayFastSSS2.

But when I use a VrayFastSSS2 material WITH pink skin preset, render is not correct.

Any issue between VrayFastSSS2 "skin presets" and Vector Displacements?.

Edit: Mmm... perhaps I should have posted this in the "problems forum", in place of "general". Move it if you think is OK.

Can you post the scene? What kind of multiple scattering do you use for vrayfastsss2?

    Best regards,

Hmm.... I can't understand what's exactly going on.

After render with Carpaint just for test purposes, I've tested default VrayFastSSS2 (grey) and render its OK. Then I created another VrayFastSSS2 skin (pink) preset, trying to find where was the difference. Suddenly all weird shading just gone.

      So rendering perfectly now.

This is not the first time this happens to me, but I start believe the fact of write in the forum is a bug fixer.

Let me try to find some explanation to that weird render...

My fault: I had connected a Ptex normal map in VrayFastSSS2 runing everything.

Sorry, delete the post to avoid confusion.
